The Roadrunners are 1-2-0-1 against the Firebirds in four games played and Friday will mark their fifth matchup already this season, the most games each team has played against the same opponent so far.

Tucson comes into tonight having won six of their last eight games after its OT win against the Bakersfield Condors on Friday. The team is 16-8-1-1 tied for second in the Pacific Division and with the Abbotsford Canucks. San Diego was on the losing end in an OT game against the Rockford Icehogs on Friday but are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. The last time these two teams clashed was back in October where Tucson defeated San Diego 2-1 at the TCC for the Field Trip Day Game.

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield Condors could not fly high enough to hold off the Tucson Roadrunners on Friday evening as the Roadrunners won a 4-3 overtime thriller and improved to 16-8-1-1 on the season.

The Tucson Roadrunners continue their three-game road trip in California to Bakersfield to take on the Bakersfield Condors. On Wednesday, Tucson put an eight spot on the San Jose Barracuda for an 8-6 win while Bakersfield had an impressive victory themselves defeating the first place Calgary Wranglers 4-2. Bakersfield is the only team who has defeated Tucson twice in regulation this season, which happened back in October when the Condors swept the Roadrunners at home in the TCC.

The Tucson Roadrunners, unbeaten in seven of their last 10 games, begin a three-game road trip in California in up in the Bay against the San Jose Barracuda for their third matchup of the season. Tucson is coming off a split series against the Abbotsford Canucks tied for third place in the Pacific Division. As for the Barracuda, they are coming off their most impressive weekend of their season sweeping the Western Conference’s first ranked Calgary Wranglers outscoring them 8-2 in a two-game series.

TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson fell to the Abbotsford Canucks 6-2 on Teddy Bear Toss Night from the Tucson Arena in front of season-high 5,046 fans in attendance to fall to 14-8-1-1 on the season. Abbotsford scored an empty-net goal after scoring twice in 15 seconds late in the third the break open a 3-2 score.

Tucson defeated Abbotsford 5-0 on Friday, scoring four goals in the second period enroute to the win. The Roadrunners are unbeaten in seven of their last eight at 6-1-1-0 and are also 5-1-0-1 at home in their last seven. Abbotsford has dropped their last four games and is two points behind Tucson in the standings.
