Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Turkey Day Road Trip
Five-Game Trip For Thanksgiving:
After two quick games back at the TCC, the Roadrunners head back on the Road for a five-game road trip with two games against the Calgary Wranglers and Henderson Silver Knights and a single game against the Ontario Reign. Tucson has yet to face the Wranglers or Silver Knights this season but are 1-1 against Ontario after having an even series on the team’s last road trip. Tucson has had major success on the road this season, having a 4-1 record and averaging three goals per game while allowing 2.2 goals per game.
Roadrunners Host Hockey Fights Cancer Presented by Banner Health on November 18.
Tucson, Arizona - The Tucson Roadrunners will be hosting Hockey Fights Cancer benefiting the Banner Health Foundation against the Coachella Valley Firebirds on Saturday, November 18. Roadrunners Announce Laugh Night on December 1
Tucson, Arizona- The Tucson Roadrunners will host a postgame comedy showcase with the debut of Roadrunners Comedy Club, presented by 102.1 KFMA, after Tucson hosts San Jose on Friday, December 1 at 7pm from Tucson Arena.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Returning Home
After a successful 2-1 road trip, the Roadrunners head back to Tucson for a two-game slate against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. In five road games this season, the Roadrunners are 4-1, averaging three goals per game and allowing 2.2 goals per game. After going 12-for-13 on the penalty-kill on the three-game road trip, Tucson is now fourth in the AHL at on the PK while on the road at 90%. Overall, the team is 10th in the league at 85%.

Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Strapping Up For California
After finishing their six-game homestand, the 5-3 Roadrunners now head to California for a three-game road trip with two games against the Ontario Reign and one against the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Tucson has not been on the road since its two-game sweep against the Texas Stars opened the season on October 13 and 14. The Roadrunners, Reign and Firebirds all have five wins on the season. Tucson is 5-3-0-0, Ontario is 5-4-0-0 and Coachella Valley is 5-2-0-0.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Closing Out The Home Stand
Home Stand Finale:
The Roadrunners close out their 6-game home stand against the Central Division Chicago Wolves. The Wolves only have one win in six matchups to begin the season and are in last place in their division with a record of 1-3-1-1. Tucson swept Chicago in their lone two games last season at the TCC and went 3-1 overall outscoring them 16-6 in the season series. Roadrunner forward Cameron Hebig had four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in the four games played. The Roadrunners are already 2-0 against Central Division Opponents after sweeping the Texas Stars in the opening weekend.
Guenther-Smith Combo:
In the last three games, Dylan Guenther and Nathan Smith contributed to a goal playing together on the same line. Smith has three primary assists with two on the power-play, and Guenther has a goal and two assists. The two have been rotated with Jan Jenik, John Leonard and Josh Doan but have stayed together on the same line.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: A Spooky Weekend
The Roadrunners have started the season off strong at 3-1 in four games played. They opened the opening month of October with a two-game sweep against the Texas Stars and a 2-1 win on Tuesday Morning’s Field Trip Day Game over the San Diego Gulls. Tucson has a knack for having strong Octobers to start the season. Including the four games played this month, the Roadrunners have an October record of 30-13-1-1. With a sweep over the Bakersfield Condors this week, Tucson can start with a 5-1 record for the second straight season.
Roadrunners To Host School Day Field Trip Game Tuesday
Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners, AHL Affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes will host their School Day Field Trip Game Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. when they host San Diego at Tucson Arena.
Steven Kampfer Named Roadrunners Captain
Tucson, Arizona – Tucson Roadrunners Head Coach Steve Potvin has announced that defenseman Steven Kampfer will serve as Captain and Forwards Zach Sanford and Ben McCartney will serve as Alternate Captains this season.
The Roadrunners home opener will take place tonight at 7 p.m. against Coachella Valley from Tucson Arena as the 2-0 club opens a six-game home stand.
“We’re really excited to name those three our captains and we couldn’t be happier to have two Stanley Cup Champions (Kampfer and Sanford) in our locker room,” said Head Coach Steve Potvin. We’re going to lean on those guys and we all know what Ben can do. To be honest with you, everyone in the room can influence each other and we’re all leaders.”
Kampfer, 35, enters his second season with the Roadrunners after being acquired by the Coyotes and assigned to the Roadrunners during last season’s playoff run in March.
Fox 11, My 18 Join Roadrunners As Official TV Stations
Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners, AHL Affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes announced that Fox 11 (KMSB) and My 18 (KTTU) will serve as the Official Television Stations for the team ahead of Saturday’s Home Opener from Tucson Arena.
“With their strong local news and national sports programming along with a commitment to also being a community partner to Southern Arizona, partnering with Fox 11 and My 18 is great for the Roadrunners to align with,” said Roadrunners President Bob Hoffman. “Their audience and reach here in the Tucson area will add an additional resource to engage with our fans; while also continuing to grow the game of hockey in Arizona with our new fans in waiting who will be connecting with.”
As part of the partnership, My 18 will serve as the television Home of the Roadrunners. The first game broadcast scheduled for the second half of the season will be announced and will feature “Voice of the Roadrunners” Adrian Denny and the Roadrunners Broadcast Team.
“FOX 11 and MY18 are thrilled to welcome the Roadrunners into the FOX Sports Family,” said KMSB/KTTU Station Manager Justin Chambers. “This exclusive partnership allows us to finally bring Tucson Hockey to our viewers and to further engage with the Roadrunners’ incredible and loyal fanbase all season long.”
During every week with a Roadrunners Saturday home game, Fox 11 will broadcast a “Watch & Win” ticket giveaway contest all week long during their 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. morning news.
Roadrunners television spots and promotions will also run throughout the season with all of the latest tickets and promotional information for upcoming home games. Fox 11 and My 18 will also have a presence in Tucson Arena at all Roadrunners games.
