Points graciously piled up for the Roadrunners as they continued to roll with three consecutive wins, extending their unbeaten streak to seven games.
Looking for the San Diego Gulls’ number? The Roadrunners have it. They beat their I-8 Border rival for the eighth-straight time Wednesday night to put the final touches on a fantastic road trip, ousting their hosts by a 5-2 count at the Valley View Casino Center.
They are now 5-0-0-0 against the Gulls this season and have earned points in seven of their last eight visits (6-1-0-1) to San Diego, dating back to November of 2018.
Welcoming the Ontario Reign to Southern Arizona for the first time this season, the Roadrunners rattled off a pair of wins – triumphant in overtime Friday night in a 4-3 win and victorious Saturday in a 5-0 rout.
Merrick Madsen earned his third shutout of the year Saturday and is now tied with the Iowa Wild’s Kaapo Kahkonen for the second-most in the AHL.
Laurent Dauphin extended his point streak to seven games, mirroring that of the team itself, with a goal in each of the team’s three contests played. He has amassed eight points (4G, 4A) during his current run.
Up top! Conor Garland became the 21st Roadrunner to play in an NHL game with the Arizona Coyotes and the 12th to make his NHL when he did just that Saturday night at Gila River Arena against the San Jose Sharks, getting 10:30 of ice time.
And again! Michael Bunting earned his first-ever NHL recall Friday and is currently with Arizona. He is the Roadrunners’ franchise leader in points (89), goals (42) and games played (154).
Don't forget about the bears! Over 5,500 stuffed animals came raining down onto Tucson Arena's ice after Tyler Steenbergen's cuing goal during Saturday night's third annual Teddy Bear Toss.
All were immediately collected and given to Aviva Children's Services to be donated to Southern Arizona families in need this holiday season.

Alumni in Action:
Lawson Crouse scored twice for the Coyotes during the week, surpassing his old single-season NHL high for goals, now with six – which ties him for the second-most on Arizona’s roster. He began the week netting the Coyotes’ league-best 11th shorthanded goal of the season, helping Arizona to its fourth straight win in a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday night at STAPLES Center.
Christian Fischer opened the scoring for the Coyotes Thursday at Gila River Arena when he fired a one-timer past Pheonix Copley, giving Arizona an early lead in its 4-2 loss to the Washington Capitals.
Highlight of the Week:
Adam Helewka’s ‘slam dunk’ goal, of which his finishing touches capped a gorgeous triangular passing sequence between he, Michael Bunting, and Kyle Capobianco, gave the Roadrunners a 4-2 lead with under five minutes to play in the team’s eventual 5-2 win over the San Diego Gulls Wednesday night at the Valley View Casino Center, also tying him for the team-lead in goals with eight.
