HEAT ON REPEAT: Tonight marks the fifth of eight meetings with the Heat this season, and Stockton’s fourth and final visit to Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners are playing the final of a two-game home stand; the Heat are playing the fifth of a seven-game road trip. Both clubs are coming off of a meeting Friday night in which Stockton won, 4-1.

BACK HOME NEXT YEAR: The Roadrunners will play their final home game of the 2017 calendar year tonight. In 33 games played on home ice since the turn of the year, the team has posted a 15-16-2-0 record when hosting visitors. Can the team even out their yearly record with a win tonight?

REUNITED?: Following Nick Merkley’s assignment to Tucson Saturday morning, there is a chance he’ll be reunited with Lawson Crouse and Dylan Strome on the team’s first line tonight. In 11 games played together as a first line trio from October 27 to November 25, the three combined for 44 points (19G, 25A).

PROJECTED LINEUP: The team held an optional morning skate ahead of tonight’s game at Tucson Arena. Per club policy, specifics regarding the team’s lineup will not be published until 5:00 PM this evening.

RE-WRITTEN: Dylan Strome, in scoring Friday night, set a new team record by extending his personal points streak to eight games. Strome has 17 points (8G, 9A) during his current run, and now has 27 points (9G, 18A) in 16 AHL games this season. The 20-year-old has registered five points (3G, 2A) in three games against the Heat.

A LONELY NUMBER: The Roadrunners were held to just one goal in regulation for only the third time in 24 games this season on Friday night; it was also the club’s first regulation loss when failing to score at least two goals. Despite the evening's scoring struggles, Tucson enters the game eighth in the American Hockey League in scoring, averaging 3.29 goals per game.

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on Friday night, the Roadrunners fell to the Heat by a 4-1 score. Dylan Strome scored the lone goal for the Tucson; Hunter Miska made 31 saves in the loss. The Roadrunners are now 1-3-0-0 in four meetings with the Heat this season.

SANS CAPTAIN: The Roadrunners will be without their captain, Andrew Campbell, for the first time this season. Campbell has played in all 24 of the team’s games to date, registering four points (1G, 3A) and providing a consistent and reliable presence on the team’s blue-line.

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch tonight’s action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan and color commentator Tim Gassen will have the radio call on AM 1450 Fox Sports Tucson. Radio coverage begins at 6:50 PM.
