END GAME: Tonight marks the fifth of eight meetings with the Barracuda this season, and the third of four scheduled visits to San Jose’s SAP Center. The Roadrunners are playing the final of a six-game road trip; they’re coming off of a 2-1 overtime win over the Texas Stars Saturday night. The Barracuda are playing the final of a five-game home stand; they’re coming off of a 4-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls on Sunday.
SPUTTERING IN SAN JOSE: The Barracuda, who are completing a five-game home stand tonight, are winless (0-2-1-1) through the first four of the stretch. San Jose is one of only six teams in the AHL with a .500 record or lower on home ice; they’re 11-11-1-1 at the SAP Center this season. The Roadrunners have won each of the two games they’ve played in San Jose this season.
TRIPPING: The Roadrunners have won four of the five games played thus far on their season-long six-game road trip. 4-1-0-0 on the trek entering tonight, the team has been able to pocket eight of a possible 10 points. On their annual Gem Show Road Trip last season, the Roadrunners went 1-5-0-0.
PROJECTED LINEUP: The team held a morning skate at the SAP Center ahead of tonight’s game. Per club policy, specifics regarding the team’s lineup will not be published until 6:00 PM this evening.

SINCE CHRISTMAS: Dating back to December 27, the Roadrunners have posted a stellar 14-5-0-0 record. Their .737 win percentage during that span is the fifth best in the AHL. The team’s hot post-holiday run includes an 11-2-0-0 mark in opposing buildings.
KEEP AN EYE OUT: Michael Bunting likes playing in San Jose. The 22 year-old forward, who is amidst the best offensive season of his three-year professional career, has scored a combined four goals in the Roadrunners’ two games played at SAP Center this season. In total, Bunting leads all Roadrunners players in scoring against the Barracuda in the teams' four previous meetings this season, posting six points (5G, 1A) in four games. In six career games played in San Jose, Bunting has accumulated seven points (5G, 2A).
THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on February 5 at San Jose’s SAP Center, the Roadrunners beat the Barracuda by a 4-3 score in a game that extended to a shootout. Michael Bunting (2) and Lawson Crouse scored for the Roadrunners in regulation; Lane Pederson scored the game-deciding goal in the seventh round of the shootout. Adin Hill made 35 saves in the win.
IN THEIR 30’S: Mike Sislo’s overtime-winner on Saturday night, his 14th goal of the season, also stood as his 30th point of the season. There are currently three players on the Roadrunners roster with 30 or more points this season: Dylan Strome (42), Nick Merkley (35), and Mike Sislo (30). Michael Bunting enters the night with 29 points.
