MONSTER MASH: Today marks the fourth and final meeting with the Monsters this season, and the second of two scheduled visits to Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena. The Roadrunners are playing the final of a three-game road trip; the Monsters are playing the final of a four-game home stand. Both clubs are coming off of a meeting Friday night in which the Roadrunners won, 5-1.

HOT IN CLEVELAND: Carter Camper, in making his Roadrunners debut against his former team Friday night, set a new franchise record in registering five points (5A), which is also a personal best. Camper led the Monsters in scoring at the time of Monday’s trade, and as of Saturday night, is 11th in the AHL in scoring with 47 points (13G, 34A) on the season.

CENTRAL SUCCESS: The Roadrunners have earned points in nine of their 11 games played against Central Division opponents this season, posting a 7-2-2-0 record, including a 2-0-1-0 mark against the Monsters.

PROJECTED LINEUP: The team practiced on Saturday afternoon ahead of today’s game. Per club policy, specifics regarding the team’s lineup will not be published until 11:00 AM this morning.

Can the team earn its first afternoon victory (3:00 PM EST) of the season today against Cleveland?

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on Friday night at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, the Roadrunners defeated the Monsters by a 5-1 score. Carter Camper, in making his team debut, set a franchise record in registering five points, assisting on each and every one of the Roadrunners’ goals scored. Mario Kempe netted his first-career AHL hat-trick, the third in franchise history. Adin Hill stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced to earn his 14th win of the season.

OVER/UNDER 30: The Roadrunners won their 30th game of the season Friday night, and in doing so, saw their magic number drop to 30 – which is currently the second lowest in the Western Conference. If they can manage to earn their 31st game Sunday afternoon, their magic number is guaranteed to drop into the 20’s.

INTO HIS 20’S: With seven points (4G, 3A) in the Roadrunners’ previous nine games, including an assist on Trevor Murphy’s opening goal Friday night, Lane Pederson now has 19 (10G, 9A) on the season. Nine players on Tucson’s active roster currently have 20+ points – Pederson can become the 10th if he hits the scoresheet this afternoon.

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch today’s action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan will have the radio call on AM 1450 Fox Sports Tucson. Radio coverage begins at 12:45 PM.
