NEXT STOP: Tonight marks the seventh of eight meetings with the Reign this season, and the third of four scheduled visits to Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Roadrunners are playing the second of a three-game road trip; they’re coming off of a 4-2 victory over the Stockton Heat Wednesday night. The Reign are playing the second of a four-game home stand; they’re coming off of a 5-2 loss to the Rockford IceHogs Wednesday.

GAME #100: The Roadrunners will play their 100th game in franchise history tonight. Through the first 99 games, the club has compiled a total record of 47-41-10-1. Michael Bunting leads the franchise in games played (97) and goals scored (22), Chris Mueller in points (67) and assists (48), Adin Hill in wins (23). The team has dressed a total of 65 players, and has seen 18 names dress for the Arizona Coyotes upon recall.

ROAD ROCKIN’: Performance on the road hasn’t been an issue for Tucson, which has won each of its past five games played in opposing buildings, outscoring their hosts by a combined count of 21-9 during that span. With a 9-2-1-1 mark on the road this season, which triggers in at a .769 win percentage, the Roadrunners rank third in the AHL as visitors. They are a perfect 2-0-0-0 at Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena this season.

PROJECTED LINEUP: The team held a morning skate at Citizens Business Bank Arena ahead of tonight’s game. Per club policy, specifics regarding the team’s lineup will not be published until 6:00 PM this evening.

DAUPHIN, AGAIN: There is a chance that Laurent Dauphin, who was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in a trade Wednesday, returns to the Roadrunners lineup tonight. He registered 28 points (17G, 11A) in 38 games with the Roadrunners last season, and has put up 14 (4G, 10A) in 33 games with the Rockford IceHogs during the current campaign. He will return to wear his familiar #15.

THE LAST TIME AROUND: In the teams’ previous meeting on January 6 at Tucson Arena, the Roadrunners fell to the Reign by a 6-3 score. The loss snapped a streak of four consecutive wins against the Reign. Dylan Strome, Tyler Gaudet, and Nick Merkley provided the scoring for the Roadrunners; Adin Hill stopped 23 of the 28 shots he faced.

THIRD PERIOD THREAT: Wednesday night’s 4-2 win over the Stockton Heat was fueled by three third period goals. The Roadrunners are +15 during the final frame of regulation this season, outscoring opponents by a 41-26 count. Can they keep the pedal to the floor through the third tonight in Ontario?

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: You can catch tonight’s action on AHL Live. Roadrunners play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan will have the radio call on AM 1450 Fox Sports Tucson. Radio coverage begins at 7:45 PM.
