Roadrunners Assign Cheek to Fort Wayne

TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced the assignment of forward Trevor Cheek to the Fort Wayne Komets today.
The 25-year-old recorded two goals and five assists for a total of seven points through 16 games with the Roadrunners this season.
The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. native of Vancouver, WA has played 63 games with Fort Wayne, the club’s ECHL affiliate, since the 2015-16 season. During the two stints, Cheek has registered 36 goals and 23 assists for a total of 59 points, accompanied by 118 penalty minutes.
The Roadrunners host their inaugural School Day Game tomorrow at Tucson Arena with puck drop set for 10 a.m. against the San Diego Gulls. Tucson currently leads the I-8 Border Trophy series nine points to six entering the eighth matchup of the season.
