TUCSON, AZ – The Arizona Coyotes, parent club of the Tucson Roadrunners, announced the emergency recall of goaltender Adin Hill today. In a corresponding move, the Roadrunners have recalled goaltender Michael Houser from the ECHL’s Fort Wayne Komets.
The 21-year-old Hill has posted a 9-10-1 record with a .905 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.59 goals against average (GAA) in 20 games with the Roadrunners. The 6-foot-4, 203-pound netminder made his NHL debut on October 17, 2017 with the Coyotes and played in a total of three games with the club. Hill was selected in the third round (#76 overall) by Arizona in 2015.
The 25-year-old Houser has registered a record of 18-9-2 in 31 games with Tucson’s ECHL affiliate this season. Along with the record, Houser carries a 2.83 goals against average and a .907 save percentage. Thus far this season he has two shutouts with Fort Wayne, which places him in a tie for the league lead. The native of Youngstown, OH served as the backup goaltender in the team’s 5-4 overtime win over Iowa on October 28, his only prior recall this season.
Houser and the Roadrunners take on the Ontario Reign tonight at Citizens Business Bank Arena with puck drop set for 8 p.m. MT. Coverage can be heard on Fox Sports 1450 AM starting at 7:45 and streamed on AHL Live.
