Coyotes Acquire Labrie, Murphy From Nashville; Roadrunners Acquire Army From Milwaukee

TUCSON, AZ – The Tucson Roadrunners, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, shared information regarding an additional pair of trades today.
The Arizona Coyotes have acquired forward Pierre-Cedric Labrie and defenseman Trevor Murphy from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Tyler Gaudet and defenseman John Ramage.
The 6-foot-3, 228 lbs. Labrie has registered five goals and seven assists for a total of 12 points through 50 games this season with the club’s AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. The 31-year-old from Baie-Comeau, Quebec is a veteran of 616 AHL games and won a Calder Cup in 2012 with the Norfolk Admirals.
The 5-foot-10, 181 lbs. Murphy has recorded eight goals and 18 assists for a total of 26 points through 48 games this season with Milwaukee as well. A native of Windsor, Canada, Murphy is 22-years-old.
In a separate transaction, the Roadrunners have acquired forward Derek Army from Milwaukee for future considerations.
The 5-foot-11, 170 lbs. Army has registered one goal and four assists for a total of five points through 22 games with the Admirals. Born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, the 26-year-old right-handed center is currently in his fourth season of professional hockey.
Earlier today the Coyotes acquired forward Jordan Maletta from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Ryan Kujawinski and the Roadrunners obtained forward Carter Camper from the Cleveland Monsters for future considerations.
