Roadrunners Hockey is “Fast Fun”
The Tucson Roadrunners, American Hockey League affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, announced today that beginning with the 2019-20 season, Roadrunners hockey will be Fast Fun, continuing to make Tucson Arena Southern Arizona’s destination for family-friendly entertainment and professional sports.
The first Fast Fun event of the season will take place this Sunday, October 6, at our third annual Fan Fest from 1-3 p.m. at the Tucson Arena. Fans will have their first opportunity to meet our roster at the team’s third annual Faceoff Luncheon on Wednesday, October 16, the biggest event of the year for Roadrunners Give Back. Game action will begin inside Tucson Convention Center on Friday, October 18 when the San Antonio Rampage come to town and all 34 games will be packed with exciting fun and promotions to go along with the Fast Fun on the ice. With nearly half of a million fans making their way through the doors of the TCC in the first three years, our family is only continuing to grow, working our way toward the top of the American Hockey League’s new season ticket sales for the upcoming season. The fun and energy in the stands has translated to the ice, as the team continues to entertain by winning, compiling the best record in the Pacific Division over the past two years. Individually, 26 players have graduated from our roster to the Arizona Coyotes, assisting in their success at the National Hockey League level.
Dusty’s been making his rounds throughout our lovely community all summer long, anxiously awaiting October 18 just as much as you. Meanwhile, Roadrunners Give Back is excited to take it’s charitable arms to the next level, introducing the Nonprofit Champion of the Night, ensuring our contributions to the community are enhancing the quality of life throughout Southern Arizona communities and working hand-in-hand to promote healthcare, education, educational and cultural arts programs. Friday our regular season gets underway at 5 p.m. MST in Cedar Park, TX against the Texas Stars and before you know it, Opening Night in Tucson will be here too.
So buckle up, 2019-20 is going to be nothing but Fast Fun.
Desert Memories Photo Booths, cornhole, face painting and an inflatable slap shot station will also all be available for fans to take part in as well. An all-new Kids Zone will be featured and including coloring and Roadrunners Give Back will have exclusive items for sale.
Additionally, for the first time, fans will also be able to purchase the all-new Roadrunners Kachina jersey, the first-ever alternate sweater for the franchise. Just Sports, the official merchandise provider of the Roadrunners, will also be at the event stocked with the newest gear for the upcoming season.
