Coyotes Sign Prosvetov To One-Year Contract Extension
GLENDALE, ARIZONA – Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed goaltender Ivan Prosvetov to a one-year contract extension. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
“We are very pleased to sign Ivan to a contract extension,” said Armstrong. “He is a big, athletic goaltender who is very talented. We look forward to continuing to watch him develop.”
The 23-year-old Prosvetov registered a 4.22 goals against average (GAA) and an .875 save percentage (SV%) in three games with the Coyotes in 2021-22.
The 6-foot-5, 193-pound goaltender also posted a 15-22-5 record with a 3.66 GAA, .880 SV% and two shutouts in 45 appearances with the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL) this season. He set AHL career highs in games, wins and shutouts.
The Moscow, RU native owns a 38-41-6 record with a 3.40 GAA, .893 SV% and three shutouts in 90 career AHL games with Tucson.
Prosvetov was drafted by the Coyotes in the fourth round (114th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
