The Tucson Roadrunners return home to the TCC for a six-game homestand after their 2-3-0-0 five-game road trip against an opponent they have not played since April of 2022, the Minnesota Wild AHL affiliate Iowa Wild. The Roadrunners enter the week with the third best winning percentage in the Western Conference with a record of 21-10-1-1 and having won five of their last six matchups at the TCC. Tucson recently finished a stretch in which they were away in 10 of 14 games from December 8-January 13 where they finished 9-5-0-0 and 6-4-0-0 on the Road. The Wild sit at sixth place in their Central Division; coming off a split series against the San Diego Gulls. They are 2-7-0-1 in their last 10 games.

ABBOTSFORD, BC – The frigid temperatures both outside in Abbotsford, BC and in the blood of their players and fans were too cold for Tucson on Saturday night as the Roadrunners fell to the Canucks 5-2 to drop to 21-11-1-1 on the year from the Abbotsford Centre.

The Tucson Roadrunners close out their five-game road trip with game-two of the weekend series against the Abbotsford Canucks. Tucson has shutout the Canucks in two of their three games against them this season; goaltender Matthew Villalta has two of those shutouts with his 30-save effort on Friday night’s 4-0 win in game one of the series. Friday’s win also marked Tucson’s first franchise victory at the Abbotsford Centre and sit at five points over the Canucks in the standings with a chance to jump up to seven.

Game #33: Tucson Roadrunners vs. Abbotsford Canucks
The Tucson Roadrunners close out their five-game road trip with a two-game series in Abbotsford for a crucial series against the Canucks. As the Pacific Division continues to heat up, the Roadrunners and Canucks are separated by just three points with Abbotsford having a game in hand. The two teams split their first series at the TCC in the middle of December, with each having a dominant win. The Roadrunners have not won a game at the Abbotsford Centre since the Canucks began play in the 2021-22 season.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Off To British Columbia
After their three games last week in San Jose and Chicago, the Roadrunners continue their road trip to Abbotsford to face the Canucks in a grudge match series. Both sides each had a dominant win with Tucson winning game one 5-0 and Abbotsford winning game two 6-2. Before these teams met this season, Tucson was 4-0 at the TCC against the Canucks but are currently 0-4 at the Abbotsford Centre where the Canucks play. With Abbotsford getting their first win ever at the TCC in December, the Roadrunners have a chance to even the score and achieve their first ever win at the Canucks rink.

CHICAGO, IL – They call it the windy city, probably from all the pucks whizzing by the Chicago goalie as the Tucson Roadrunners defeated the Chicago Wolves 4-0 on Saturday night to improve to 20-10-1-1 on the year from the Allstate Arena.
Game #32: Tucson Roadrunners vs. Chicago Wolves
The Tucson Roadrunners enter game three of their five-game road trip and game two of their two-game weekend series against the Chicago Wolves. Tucson enters tonight’s game having lost their last two games in regulation. The last time Tucson lost two in regulation was on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28 both against the Bakersfield Condors. In addition, when the Roadrunners were in threat of losing three in a row, they defeated the Chicago Wolves back at the TCC and went on their great two-month run. As for Chicago, they have defeated two of the top three teams in the Pacific Division, beating the Texas Stars on Tuesday 3-2 and the Roadrunners 4-1 on Friday as they look to match their season-high winning streak at three.

CHICAGO, IL – The Tucson windbreakers were not strong enough as the Roadrunners lost to the Chicago Wolves 4-1 on Friday night in the windy city to fall to 19-10-1-1 on the year from the Allstate Arena.
Game #31: Tucson Roadrunners vs. Chicago Wolves
The Tucson Roadrunners continue their five-game road trip with game two in the Mid-West at the windy city of Chicago against the Wolves. Tucson’s five-game win streak came to an end at the hands of the San Jose Barracuda on Wednesday, but the Roadrunners are 2-0 this season against Chicago. These two teams last met in the beginning of November on the third and fourth where Tucson swept the Wolves in two games. Since the beginning of November when the Roadrunners won the two games at the TCC against Chicago, the team is 16-6-1-1.
