Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup Champion goaltender Darcy Kuemper during his one game with the Roadrunners for conditioning purposes on February 22, 2020. He stopped 26 of 28 shots in a loss against Stockton at Tucson Arena before rejoining the Arizona Coyotes the next day returning from an injury.

Coyotes Sign Prosvetov To One-Year Contract Extension

Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have signed goaltender Ivan Prosvetov to a one-year contract extension. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Boko Imama Named Roadrunners Person Of Year

The Arizona Coyotes acquired Imama this past offseason where he went on to appear in 54 games for the Roadrunners totaling four goals, five assists and 10 fights. After 207 career AHL games, he made his NHL debut on April 22 at Gila River Arena against Washington and scored his first NHL goal the following night against St. Louis to start a third period comeback. His first NHL fight took place on April 29 in the season finale as he appeared in four total games with Arizona.

Roadrunning: 2021-2022 Season In Review

The Tucson Roadrunners capped off their sixth season in Southern Arizona by drawing 121,174 fans in a year that saw a franchise record eight skaters make their NHL debuts with the Arizona Coyotes. A total of 15 players appeared on both the Roadrunners and Coyotes rosters to reach 46 players to play for both teams all time. Tucson has now drawn a total of 676,476 fans over their six seasons in the desert and counting.

Roadrunners Announce Final Weekend Details

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Roadrunners, owned and operated by the Arizona Coyotes, wrap up their home schedule Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday at 7 p.m. with a pair of games against their I-8 Border Rivals the San Diego Gulls.

Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Season Send-Off

The Roadrunners will return home to the Tucson Arena for the final two games of the 2021-2022 regular season, both against the San Diego Gulls. The games represent the seventh and eight matchups with their I-8 Border Rivals on the season after meeting with the Gulls at the Pechanga Arena on Saturday, April 23. In that game, forward Colin Theisen notched his fourth goal in 14 games with Tucson, while 19-year-old netminder Rasmus Korhonen took a shutout into the final five minutes of regulation in only his third AHL start. The Roadrunners can secure the I-8 Border Cup Trophy for a fifth-straight year by winning both contests over the Gulls in regulation.
