The Roadrunners will embark on their final road trip of the 2021-2022 season, a stretch of three games with three teams across four days in California. The trip begins Wednesday, April 20 in Stockton, before back-to-back nights in Bakersfield and San Diego Friday and Saturday. The contests against the Stockton Heat and Bakersfield Condors mark the final meetings of the season, as the Roadrunners final three games are all against the San Diego Gulls. Four of the previous seven meetings with the Heat this year have been decided by one goal, while two of the last three matchups with Bakersfield have also been one-goal games.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Weekend For The Fans
The Roadrunners return home for the final two meetings of the season with the Colorado Eagles Friday and Saturday at the Tucson Arena. The Eagles come to the Old Pueblo for the second time this season, with their first trip coming January 8 and 9. The series opener marked the Roadrunners debut of forward Cedric Lacroix, who dropped the gloves in the first period on January 8 for his first of four fights with Tucson this season. The Roadrunners tallied three power-play goals across the pair of games, including one to erase a third-period deficit and force overtime on January 8.
Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Midweek Matchups And More
The Roadrunners will wrap up their four-game home stand with a pair of midweeks matchups against the Iowa Wild Tuesday and Wednesday at the Tucson Arena. The Roadrunners and Wild split a weekend series in Iowa back in November, with this week’s games marking the Minnesota Wild’s first trip to the Old Pueblo since October 2019. Following the series with Iowa, the Roadrunners will head on the road for a pair of rematches with the Rockford IceHogs after facing off in Tucson last Friday and Saturday.

The trip begins Wednesday night in California, as Tucson will face off against their I-8 Border Rivals, the San Diego Gulls for the first time since the start of February. The season series against the Gulls is currently even at two wins apiece, with four total meetings left in the regular season. The last time Tucson was in San Diego, forward Mike Carcone recorded his first of two hat tricks this season in a 5-4 win on Saturday, February 5. The Roadrunners will then travel to Las Vegas to take on the Henderson Silver Knights for the final two times this season at the Orleans Arena Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26. After the three-game trip, Tucson will only have five road matchups left on their schedule compared to eight games remaining on their home ice.

They’ll play host to the San Jose Barracuda at the Tucson Arena for the first time since the opening weekend of the 2020-2021 season. In the game, forward Mike Carcone scored for the 23rd time this season to match a franchise record for goals in a season. Tucson has won seven of their last eight meetings with San Jose on home ice, dating back to the 2018-2019 season.
