Roadrunners Acquire Doyle Somerby From Iowa Wild

TUCSON, ARIZONA – Tucson Roadrunners General Manager John Ferguson announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Doyle Somerby from the Iowa Wild in exchange for future considerations.

The Roadrunners will return to the ice to take on the Stockton Heat in a pair of midweek matchups Tuesday and Wednesday at the Tucson Arena. AHL Reschedules Roadrunners Trip To Abbotsford

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that due to Covid-related travel concerns, this week’s games between the Tucson Roadrunners and Abbotsford Canucks scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 22 (AHL Game #391) and Thursday, Dec. 23 (AHL Game #402) in Abbotsford, B.C., will be rescheduled.

Tucson Roadrunners Road Ahead: Midweek Matchups

The Roadrunners held their annual Teddy Bear Toss Game Saturday night at the Tucson Arena when they hosted the Stockton Heat. Forward Ryan McGregor netted the special goal late in the second period for the Roadrunners, prompting fans to throw thousands of stuffed animals onto the ice. The stuffed animals were collected and will be donated to Aviva Children’s Services. Over 9,000 fans cheered on the Roadrunners for the series at the Tucson Arena, the largest weekend turnout so far this season.
